Then high tech nylons came around and the style was a pullover jersey with no buttons. Belts disappeared and became wrap arounds held with Velcro. Some uniforms got weird, check out the 1977 White Sox. Caps would change too, rounded traditional ones and high top hat style. These were perfect for the 79 Pirates to have stars added to their hats for excellent plays. There are a few colors that I think go well with black pants. I tend to like pairing black pants with a white or light-colored shirt. I think that the contrast looks really nice. I also like to wear black pants with a pop of color. So, a shirt in a bold color like red or yellow would look really nice.
