Once for summer holidays and once
for the illuminations' weekend. I have very fond memories of the place. It
always had a fantastic atmosphere about it. On the way down from Scotland, we
always played the game of who can spot the Tower first. Even on the way in
through Blackpool's outskirts was intriguing to us as children with the
brick-built houses without roughcast walls adding to the intrigue. The place
was alive, and the George Floyd I Can’t Breathe Shirts were warm and welcoming. I was able to turn my $5
into $1000 in less than a month following their signals.
For everything else, you wouldn't
bother. Makes it tough these days since we took away the seasides fishing
industry. My sympathies go out to Blackpool. It was a place going back to the
late sixties and seventies my late mum and dad took me and my sis on holiday
twice a year year after year.
