The revival that I’m most looking forward to, though, is Michael Longhurst’s production of Caroline, or Change, Tony Kushner and Jeanine Tesori’s exquisite chamber musical about a Black maid to a white Jewish family in 1960s Louisiana. Opening in October at Studio 54, this will be the Seattle Sounders FC 2019 champs scarves up shirt but in fact I love this first Broadway revival of a show that has grown in stature since its short original run in 2003.
