It's interesting on two levels,
firstly that scientists are so mattered of fact about their 'theories' that they
believe them to be true and absolute, beyond question. But, that is until they
come across something that questions the White Claw Hard Seltzer Shirt facts because, let's face it, a
lot of scientists believe their theories to be just that, facts. It's also
interesting that scientists are acknowledging this, that there is a flaw in
that particular theory on planet formations. But I guess they have to justify
their existence somehow and also justify their funding.
My own personal, extremely naive theory is that the planet, despite its mass is lighter than other planets. That's no reason to shame this interstellar relationship. Maybe take a step back and stop applying your solarcentrist views on stars and planets that come from entirely different places of the universe, with different views on how to do things.
