He played right into Republican
fear-mongering. I think not only will this cost him votes, but it will also
cost other Democratic candidate votes as well. O’Rourke pretty much shot
himself in the foot on this one. I think we need some reasonable gun
control but this is not realistic. We need more moderate politics, not these
extreme positions.
