I had a roll of film from 1944 that I found in a box of photos that my grandmother gave me. I had it developed and all the photos were of my grandparents. I remember being so excited as I waited as I had no idea what to expect. I wonder if he ever traced any of the folk who took the pictures. Particularly Paul - or his family, the Horror Characters Friends Halloween Shirt kids in the photos - they'd be thrilled to see them. A clever research person might be able to find hints in the photos and trace the places they were taken. As an old researcher from way back, that would be something I'd love to do. But I'm on the other side of the world.
I found five reels of film of my parents from the 1950’s. So, about a year before my mom died, I sent them to ScanCafe to have them digitized. She couldn’t remember what was on them so, we were so delighted when we finally got to see the footage. 20 Minutes total of pure joy.
